I love jazz.....and having previously played trumpet, I particularly love jazz trumpet players. Wynton Marsalis has to be my all-time favorite. I just discovered The Majesty of the Blues recently on iTunes. It's been around for quite some time, having been released in 1989.....but, man...it is awesome. By far, this is Wynton's best treatment of the blues....even considering his later Blues Trilogy.
It's got grit and groove....it makes you want to shake your head and say, "Uh huh....."
I dig it.....thank you Lord.....for the majesty of the blues!
